Latisse in Jacksonville FL
Latisse is one of the latest developments in eye care, a prescription treatment for hypotrichosis, a condition in which patients have fewer or thinner eyelashes. It is used to promote the growth of eyelashes. The use of Latisse results in thicker, longer, and darker eyelashes.
Valuvision is one of the only medical eye care offices in the Greater Jacksonville and North Florida area that is licensed to sell Latisse. Although it is offered by some cosmetic facilities, Latisse is a prescription drug for the eye that should not be used by everyone. As such, it is important that a medical professional supervises any Latisse use. For this reason, Valuvision offers Latisse with the same degree of quality and service that we provide all of our eye care services, ensuring that your use of this prescription is safe for your vision while enhancing the appearance of your eyes.

Latisse tips for success
While Latisse has been shown to consistently produce thicker, longer, and darker eyelashes with consistent use, there are things you can do to ensure that the desired effect is achieved. Some of those tips for better results include:
- Make Latisse part of your routine. By including Latisse in some part of your daily routine, such as after you brush your teeth in the evening, it will be easier for you to remember to apply it and do it consistently. Also, by keeping it near the supplies you use in other parts of your routine, you will be able to find it and remember it more easily.
- Only apply Latisse to clean eyes. Not only should you take out your contact lenses before applying the medication, but you should also remove any makeup from the eye area. Remember that eye makeup remover can leave an oily residue, so use another cleanser to get rid of that before putting Latisse in the appropriate area.
- Keep it clean. Only apply Latisse with the sterile, disposable, FDA-approved applicator that is provided in the kit. Keep the tip of the bottle and the applicator itself away from your fingers or any other surface that may result in contamination by bacteria or other germs.
- Keep track of time. Do not apply Latisse more often than prescribed and do not apply a “double dose” if you miss a day. It may take some time for Latisse to show noticeable results, which is why it is important to keep track of how long you have been using it and to take pictures of your progress.
While these guidelines offer some suggestions for how to use Latisse successfully, it is important to discuss the medication with your eye care professional before you begin using it and to ask any questions you may have.
